Amtrak 183 splits the Blanchard, NM semaphores on April 20, 2013.

AMTRAK P42DC 183 brings #3, the Southwest Chief past the intermediate semaphore set at Blanchard, NM on April 20, 2013. The semaphores are part of a group west of Las Vegas, NM which continue to live on borrowed time as long as Amtrak keeps the BNSF Raton Pass line alive. Amtrak's Southwest Chiefs (#3 westbound and #4 eastbounds) are now the only traffic on this line between Lamy, NM and Trinidad, CO.
